The issue contains two main stories. "Trouble Man" follows Captain Mills and Ranger Hobie as they pursue gunfighters who have ambushed Mills's uncle; after years on the vengeance trail, a final showdown ensues at a saloon. In the second story, "Texas Rangers," Ranger Farnum investigates a bank robbery while dealing with Kip, a young man he mentors, who becomes caught up in the case when he witnesses suspicious activity and is accused of involvement in the crime.
