This is an anthology issue featuring three Western stories. "Ranger in Exile" follows a ranger who must capture the outlaw Bo Macklin and bring him to justice, with Macklin threatening the ranger and making demands before being apprehended. "Saddle Tramp" depicts an old man recounting his experiences with the Arickara tribe, including a battle with the Sioux and the arrival of a ceremonial delegation of Arickara warriors to a village, concluding with the old man's reflection on a nearly forgotten frontier life. "Clay Pigeon" features a man known as Clay Pigeon Morgan, a fugitive with a bounty on his head, as lawmen work to capture him and put him behind bars.

Saddle Tramp
5 pp · Western-Frontier

When a drifter named Clay Stuart rolls into the outlaw-controlled town of Guntown, the desperate locals mistake him for a messenger who might bring help from the Texas Rangers—but he's just a saddle tramp passing through. As Kelp Peters and his lawless band tighten their grip on the town and its terrified citizens, Stuart finds himself caught between the outlaws' brutal appetites and a secret that could change everything.

Ranger in Exile
8 pp · Western-Frontier

Ranger Captain Bo Macklin faces his worst nightmare when a cunning outlaw named Chihuahua Charlie Montez uses a forged Mexican deed to claim the very ranch Macklin has spent years building—and a corrupt new judge who rolls into town helps make it stick. Stripped of his badge and thrown in jail, Macklin discovers Judge Russell's real game: installing himself as the law so he and Montez can seize ranches across the territory through rigged evictions. With the constable's help, Macklin breaks out to stop Montez and his crew before they can rob the honest ranchers of their homes.

The Owlhoot Trail
5 pp · Western-Frontier

A young man named Billy Maxwell rides to the mountain hideout of the outlaw Kid White, hoping to join his gang and prove himself to the girl who doubted him—but what he finds on the Owlhoot Trail is far grimmer than the heroic legend he'd imagined. As Billy witnesses the brutal, paranoid reality of outlaw life and the broken man behind the myth, he discovers the true cost of choosing a life outside the law. A frontier tale of disillusionment and the thin chance at redemption, from Texas Rangers in Action #23.

Clay Pigeon
6 pp · Western-Frontier

Texas Ranger Earl Naylor rides into Shotgun City expecting trouble—and finds it immediately when the local gang tries to gun him down. Inside the saloon, Naylor discovers that his fellow ranger Tad Morgan has been working undercover among the outlaws, his wanted poster helping him stay deep in cover while they plan a coordinated hit on the bank and express office. When the robbery goes down, Naylor must break free and work with Morgan to take the gang into custody before they escape with their prize.
