In the second story, "Jim Bowie in Border Raid," Jim Bowie encounters a drifter named Bargo who is driving a herd of horses toward Mexico; Bowie suspects Bargo of rustling and attempts to stop him, eventually pursuing Bargo and his men across the border after discovering they have stolen horses.
