“The Super-Sonic Chord”

In "The Super-Sonic Chord," The Claw, disguised as the elegant pianist Professor LePatte, unleashes a deadly melody capable of killing mice while leaving cats untouched. His twisted plan hinges on Mitzi, unaware of the danger, performing the chord live at the packed Terrytown Opera House—where a crowd of music-loving mice awaits. Art Bartsch handles both the interior art and the cover, bringing the absurd menace of this 1948 St. John comic to life with his distinctive style.

In the guise of master concert pianist "Professor LePatte", The Claw discovers "The Super-Sonic Chord", a horrific piano sound that "...kills mice, but leaves cats unharmed!" His plan is to have Mitzi unwittingly strike the chord, while performing a piano recital at the Terrytown Opera House - fully packed with music-loving mice. As gleefully voiced by The Claw: "Mighty Mouse out of the way and his girl friend about to commit mass murder. A perfect scheme!"
