Terry-Toons Comics #33
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA cheerful summer spirit jumps right off the cover of this 1945 issue, with a cat character in a yellow-and-black striped shirt soaring gleefully on a rope swing while a dapper little pig and a long-nosed companion scramble below — the lyrics "Off I Go Into the Blue Sky Yonder" floating alongside in playful musical notes. The scene captures that breezy, anything-goes energy that made Terry-Toons such a delight for young readers. With a story titled "Safety First" inside, there's a good chance all that swinging chaos leads somewhere entertainingly instructive.

Impugning Wacky Willy’s claims of musical talent, music store owner Joe makes a bet with Willy. If Willy can melodically play any musical instrument in his store, Willy can have the instrument for free. Willy begins cranking a hand-organ, making nice music and becoming its new owner. He then acquires a monkey from another organ grinder, but has trouble controlling the monk.
