This volume kicks off IDW's 2012 relaunch of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, collecting the first four issues of the series. It reimagines the origin story, introducing the Turtles and Splinter as they emerge from a lab accident and begin their lives in the sewers of New York, while April O'Neil and an amnesiac Old Hob set the stage for new conflicts. The arc establishes the core cast and the ongoing threat of the Foot Clan under a mysterious new leader.
