Teen Titans: Futures End #1

Part of DC's 2014 New 52: Futures End event, this one-shot drops the Teen Titans into a dark, fire-lit cityscape where a battered, masked brawler charges forward in the foreground while behind him a green creature, a dark-haired figure in black, a woman wreathed in flame, and a yellow-suited speedster hold their ground against an uncertain future. Karl Kerschl's cover does a fine job of conveying both the grit and the team spirit suggested by the story title "Team Effort." Will Pfeifer scripts, with interior art by Andy Smith and inks by Keith Champagne — a solid creative lineup for a glimpse at what tomorrow holds for these heroes.
