The Teen Titans find themselves on the ropes in this December 1977 issue, as the cover by Rich Buckler and Jack Abel throws Robin, Kid Flash, and a lasso-wielding heroine into a desperate brawl against a pair of costumed villains — one armored and one in blue — while an explosion tears through a city skyline behind them and the threat rings out: "Fools! You're helpless against our powers — now I destroy your city!" The six Titans headlined across the top of the cover hint at just how much firepower DC's teenage team could muster when the stakes were this high. "When Titans Clash!" promises the kind of full-throttle superhero action that made this era of DC storytelling so entertaining.
