Team 7 #3 brings "Loyalties" to a head with a cover that sets a striking scene: three robed, otherworldly figures loom in the background like judges passing sentence, while a battle-worn, bare-chested warrior stands over a fallen red-haired figure amid a debris-strewn ruin. Aron Wiesenfeld's pencils and JD's inks give the composition a moody, almost ceremonial weight that perfectly suits the tension the title promises. Writer Chuck Dixon and the creative team were clearly swinging for something darker and more operatic in this 1994 Image series.
