Dark Horse's Tarzan: Legion of Hate rolls into its third chapter with a cover that crackles with raw physical tension — Tarzan locks in a fierce grapple with a fierce female warrior brandishing twin daggers overhead, the two figures coiled together in a struggle neither looks ready to surrender. The warm yellow background throws every muscle and blade into sharp relief, giving the confrontation an almost theatrical urgency. With Gross, Schenck, and Freeman driving the series in 1997, this is Edgar Rice Burroughs' jungle lord at his most combative.
