In "Sumo-mästaren," former sumo champion Hiroshi arrives in Africa seeking a fresh start, only to be tricked by two deceitful workers into challenging Tarzan in a match while they steal from the plantation. As the fight unfolds, Hiroshi begins to see through their lies—and when the traitors turn on Tarzan, he must choose between his past and a new loyalty. Written by Mark Evanier and illustrated by Will Meugniot, with inks by Dave Stevens, this 1977 issue features cover art by Will Meugniot and Bill Wray.

Den vanärade sumomästaren Hiroshi beger sig till Afrika för att börja ett nytt liv och söker jobb på lord Greystokes (Tarzans) plantage. Han luras av två andra arbetare, Sam och Pete, som vill förmå honom att utmana Tarzan på en brottningsmatch medan de plundrar plantagens kassaskåp. Tarzan vinner matchen. Hiroshi inser att han är på fel sida och räddar livet på Tarzan när bovarna försöker krossa honom med en klippsten.
