DC's 1974 adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' jungle hero delivers a cover that grabs you immediately — Joe Kubert renders a massive tusked elephant looming over a grappling Tarzan in the foreground, while a second elephant and what appears to be a fallen adversary add to the chaos of the jungle struggle. A smaller figure of Tarzan swinging in the upper corner reinforces just how alive and kinetic Kubert's linework feels, making this March issue of "The Game!" a striking showcase for one of comics' most confident adventure artists.
