This anthology issue features "The Cadet," a story about a young girl who aspires to write for a newspaper and pitches a story idea to the editor, who agrees to publish it if she can deliver. The issue also includes "Patrol Torpedo," a World War II military adventure in which Lieutenant Doug Ramsy, commanding a PT boat off the Chinese coast, encounters Chinese officer Wong Fu and faces enemy attack from a Japanese destroyer while attempting to escape through a narrow cove. Additionally, the issue contains a story about the Cadet character dealing with Nazi agents, shown in combat action sequences where the character fights and defeats enemy operatives.
