This is an anthology issue featuring multiple stories. "The Cadet" follows Candid Charlie, Dan'l Flannel, Speck, Spot and Sis as they engage in summer farm activities, including weeding a garden and planning to go swimming the next day, with patriotic messaging about supporting the war effort. "Incident in Narvik" depicts young Norwegian resistance fighter Nels Jorgensen, who is ordered by Nazi Lieutenant Mackinsen to obtain British invasion plans from Major Olsen; Nels retrieves the plans but throws the weapon out a window, then reports success to the Lieutenant, who praises him. A third story shows a female soldier or nurse working with wounded soldiers, administering plasma and receiving encouragement from her comrades before departing to meet someone named Angelo, with dialogue emphasizing faith and courage during wartime.
