About this Collection
This third volume in DC's Tangent Comics series collects issues #7-10 of the 2008 miniseries, continuing the publisher's alternate-universe line that reimagines classic DC characters with new identities and origins. The story follows the Tangent Universe's versions of familiar heroes and villains as they navigate a reality where Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman never existed, replaced by figures like the Joker's Daughter and the Atom.
In "Future Shock," the Tangent Universe's JLA—elite agents from Earth-97—are hired by Raven, The Shadow Thief, and Senator Mason to eliminate the Superiors, including a revived Atom who soon joins forces with The Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and The Superman to form a new, terrifying Justice League of America. Written by Dan Jurgens and illustrated by Darryl Banks, with inks by Norm Rapmund and colors by Rob Schwager, this 2008 issue delivers a sharp, high-stakes clash of power and ideology, all framed by a striking cover by Dan Jurgens and Kevin Conrad.
