In "Swamp Monsters," a fugitive bank robber named Riley flees with $60,000 in cash, seeking refuge with a mysterious woman known as The Duchess, hoping she’ll help him disappear. Trapped in a decaying Southern swamp, the isolation and creeping dread begin to blur the line between the dangers of the wild and the secrets he’s trying to outrun.

In "Druid's Castle," psychic investigator Christopher Fenn ventures into a haunted English manor where ghostly druids linger. Armed with his own invention, a dematerializing machine, Fenn transforms himself, his dog Drum, and Lady Seeley into spectral forms to confront the spirits. Using a branch of mistletoe as a conduit, he attempts to negotiate peace with the ancient phantoms. At story’s end, Drum remains a ghost, guarding the estate.

In "Fear of the Witch," Richard, still grieving the loss of his fiancée Beth, begins a new life with his wife Janet—only to find that every night, Janet is overtaken by Beth’s spirit. Though Janet returns to herself by day, the haunting presence of Beth grows more insistent, leaving Richard torn between two women he loves. To escape the escalating dread, he seeks a remote assignment as a meteorologist at the North Pole, where the endless cycles of light and dark might finally offer him peace.
