Charlton's long-running romance anthology returns with this October 1958 issue, its cover — penciled by Dick Giordano and inked by Vince Colletta — depicting a young couple sharing a tender moment together on a grassy lawn, surrounded by blooming pink roses, the red-haired young woman in a bright yellow patterned skirt leaning in close to her beau as billowing clouds drift behind them. The warm, sun-drenched setting perfectly captures the hopeful mood promised by the "Thrilling Love Stories" banner across the top. Inside, writer Joe Gill and artist Dick Giordano (inked again by Vince Colletta) bring that same heartfelt sensibility to "Shortcut To A Career" — all for just a dime.
