Swamp Thing #6
Len Wein returns to his most celebrated creation for this 2016 DC series, and Kelley Jones's cover for issue #6 is a vivid reminder of why Swamp Thing feels right at home in the darkest corners of the DC universe. The mossy green titan surges forward in a cavernous, crimson-hued underworld, fist raised, while a fire-wielding woman in fishnet, a cloaked masked figure, and a mysterious dark-caped woman crackle with energy around him — and lurking alligators and a prone figure at the bottom make clear the stakes are anything but tame. With "Dark Destiny!" as the story's title, this issue promises the kind of moody, atmospheric adventure that only Swamp Thing can deliver.
