Swamp Thing #6

The subtitle blijft positief ("stays positive") sets a wonderfully ironic tone for this Dutch humor collection, as the cover shows the cartoon Swamp Thing character — a grumpy-faced, stocky little critter — holding a protest sign that reads "WEG MET STRIPS!" ("Down with comics!"). Floris Oudshoorn, who handles every creative role on this series, delivers a self-deprecating gag right on the front cover that perfectly captures the strip's deadpan charm. If you enjoy comics that cheerfully bite the hand that feeds them, this sixth installment from Strip2000 is a delightful find.
