Yanick Paquette's cover for this New 52 entry says everything you need to know about the threat facing our beleaguered hero — a desperate blond man recoils as grotesque, decay-warped animals loom over him, a snarling rot-corrupted beast bearing down while chickens and grasping clawed hands emerge from the diseased murk around him. The banner "Monsters of the Rot!" frames the horror perfectly, promising that Scott Snyder's "Dead Meat" chapter pushes the Green versus the Rot conflict into viscerally unsettling territory.
