Swamp Thing #3

Part of DC's New 52 relaunch, Swamp Thing #3 (January 2012) arrives with a striking cover by Yanick Paquette that frames a tense confrontation: the massive, green form of Swamp Thing reaches upward as a helmeted motorcyclist bears down on him, the cover copy posing the unsettling question of whether "his greatest love" has become "his deadliest enemy." The fiery orange backdrop and grasping, vine-like details at the edges give the whole image an ominous, atmospheric charge.
