Swamp Thing #11
Part of DC's New 52 initiative, Swamp Thing #11 arrives in September 2012 with a cover by Yanick Paquette that makes the stakes unmistakably grim. A grotesque, decaying Arcane cradles an unconscious white-haired woman in his arms, while a green, mossy Swamp Thing looms in the background — bony hands erupting from the muddy ground all around them — and the tagline "The Triumph of Arcane!" leaves little doubt about who holds the upper hand. Writer Scott Snyder and artist Marco Rudy bring their "Family Reunion" story to what looks like a deeply unsettling chapter for everyone caught in Arcane's grasp.
