The tenth volume of Gerard Leever's Suus & Sas series arrives subtitled "Girlie Girlie," and the cover sets a wonderfully chaotic tone — four girls are gathered around a board game on the floor, but things have clearly gone sideways, with one wearing full snorkeling gear and clutching a rubber duck, another leaping forward with a mischievous grin, and a third sitting back looking thoroughly exasperated amid scattered game pieces and assorted clutter. Leever's expressive, energetic linework gives each character a distinct personality that jumps right off the page. If this 2016 installment is anything like the lively scene on its cover, fans of the series are in for another entertaining ride.
