Supreme #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeSupreme #2 is the debut issue of Zachariah Grizlock, the series' most prominent early villain, whose revelation that he slaughtered Supreme's friends and admirers during the hero's fifty-year absence gives the young series its first genuine dramatic weight. The issue also advances Eric Stephenson's ongoing Infiniti backup serial, part of the interconnected tapestry of backup stories that Image's Extreme Studios titles used to build a shared universe from the ground up in 1993. Together, the two stories illustrate how the early Image model relied on co-creator credits and anthology-style backups to seed new characters across multiple titles simultaneously — a structural experiment that would shape how independent superhero publishers approached universe-building through the decade.

The series was produced under Rob Liefeld's Extreme Studios imprint, one of the founding studios of Image Comics, with creative duties shared between Liefeld and artist-writer Brian Murray — Murray handling pencils and much of the script while Liefeld co-plotted and contributed inks alongside Danny Miki. The Infiniti backup strand, scripted by Eric Stephenson with pencils by Richard Horie and inks by Norm Rapmund, had been threading through several Extreme titles simultaneously, reflecting the cross-title editorial strategy Stephenson championed in the imprint's first year.
