The word "LIES" emblazoned across the bottom of this November 2015 cover sets an uneasy tone, as the faces of Superman and Wonder Woman are dramatically split and overlaid — their expressions guarded, their cool blue eyes carrying unmistakable tension. Aaron Kuder's pencils and Klaus Janson's inks give the composition a striking, almost fractured quality that perfectly captures the strain running through the "Dark Truth" arc's fourth chapter. Peter J. Tomasi and Doug Mahnke deliver a series that keeps pushing its two leads into compelling, uncomfortable territory.
