The cover text drives the retro spirit home with the proclamation "A Genius in Intellect! A Hercules in Strength! A Nemesis to All Wrong Doers!" — language straight out of the 1930s. Writers Louise Simonson and Jon Bogdanove clearly had a blast channeling the character's origins, making this a genuinely charming entry in the Man of Steel's long history.
