The cover banner screams "Metallo's Meltdown!" and Jon Bogdanove and Dennis Janke deliver on that promise in full — a snarling, blue-skinned Metallo dominates the image, lunging forward in a twisted mockery of Superman's own costume while clutching what appears to be a mechanical head amid bursts of fire and shattered debris.
