Drunk-driving Lionel Luthor is rescued by a flying boy, but the police don't believe his story. Later, Clark runs into Lex again, but Lex rejects his friendship. After a talk with Lana, Clark meets three teens from the future. They take him to their time where he acts openly as Superboy for the first time. After meeting more Legionnaires, Superboy returns home with a Legion ring and the promise of another meeting. Soon after, a Kryptonian rocket arrives in Smallville bearing Krypto. Elsewhere, Chief Parker tells Lex his father died, but Lex seems unsurprised and happy to be able to leave town.
