A super-bug arrives at the Fortress of Solitude and lures the Super Family into space, where they find a satellite with messages from Krypton. They are attacked by three alien super-menaces who are messengers of Brainiac, and Superman finally defeats them by projecting them into the Phantom Zone. Later, Superman frees his mother Lara from the Phantom Zone, and Brainiac comes to Earth.
