“Le catcheur invincible”

In "Le catcheur invincible," Superman’s powers vanish after a mysterious alien explosion—but he gains an unexpected ally: a tiny, self-made duplicate capable of handling his heroic duties. As the miniature version, dubbed the "super lutin," rises in popularity, Superman’s growing resentment leads him to send the little hero on a deadly mission involving kryptonite. Written by Jerry Coleman and illustrated by Wayne Boring with inks by Stan Kaye, this 1969 adventure explores identity, jealousy, and the cost of heroism in a story that’s as clever as it is unexpected. Cover by Wayne Boring.
