Superman swoops in to free Mister Miracle from a set of massive mechanical restraints — though the master escape artist is clearly not thrilled about the assist, as his speech bubble makes plain. The cover by Mike Manley and Terry Austin crackles with energy bursts and a fun clash of personalities, perfectly capturing the animated-series spirit of this all-ages title. With writer Mark Evanier and "The Greatest Escape!" as the story title, this March 2001 issue promises a lively team-up full of stubbornness and superheroics in equal measure.
