Superman hoists a small white dog triumphantly overhead while armored robots close in from every direction and Metropolis burns behind him — it's a wonderfully absurd and heartfelt image that captures everything charming about this animated-style series. The cover by Mike Manley and Terry Austin perfectly sets the tone for "Old Wounds," pairing Man of Steel heroics with an unexpected, endearing rescue in the middle of urban chaos. With Ty Templeton, Dan Slott, Neil Vokes, and Terry Austin on the interior, this February 2000 issue is a great example of Superman Adventures at its most fun.
