Based on the beloved Superman: The Animated Series, this 1998 DC gem captures the lighter side of Metropolis with genuine charm. The cover by Rick Burchett and Terry Austin says it all: two ordinary kids strut confidently in the foreground — one in orange pants about to slip on a banana peel, the other in a yellow shirt and round glasses — while a very battered Superman crashes through rubble behind them, looking considerably worse for wear.
