Superman #82
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeSuperman #82 (May–June 1953) features a charming and genuinely funny cover by Win Mortimer: the Man of Steel is crouched in a military mess hall, cheerfully peeling an enormous bucket of potatoes, while Lois Lane — dressed sharply in her WAC uniform — looks on from the doorway with evident amusement. A speech bubble explains it all, with Superman happily substituting for Lois on KP duty, and towering stacks of dishes in the background drive home just how much work lies ahead. It's a delightfully lighthearted 1953 snapshot of Superman trading cape-and-cowl heroics for army kitchen duty, with interior art by Al Plastino bringing the full story of "Lois Lane Joins the WACs!" to life.
