Superman #55

Part six of the "Time and Time Again" crossover lands Superman smack in the age of Camelot, and Jerry Ordway's cover captures the chaos beautifully — a bearded, battered Man of Steel charges forward through a wall of fire, sword in hand, while a yellow-skinned demon in red charges alongside him and a robed wizard figure looms in the distant flames. The tagline "Superman Against the Demons of Camelot!" says it all: this is the Man of Tomorrow fighting very much in the world of yesterday. Ordway handles both the writing and the cover art here, and the result is a dynamic, mythologically charged chapter that makes the "Time and Time Again" saga one of the more ambitious Superman stories of 1991.
