A clenched fist crushing glowing green kryptonite crystals — their jagged shards radiating brilliant light across Superman's iconic chest symbol — makes for one of the most striking cover images of 2016's New 52 era. Howard Porter's cover work here is tightly composed and genuinely unsettling, the straining, vein-mapped hand suggesting enormous effort or desperation against the Man of Steel's emblem.
