Part two of "The Last Days" finds Superman thrusting a fist skyward while surrounded by a churning mass of desperate, snarling alien figures — and one dark-haired youth at the fore — all crying out to be let die on this "Suicide Planet." The cover by Viktor Bogdanovic captures a Man of Steel who looks more burdened than triumphant, shouldering the weight of beings who seem to actively resist rescue. With James Robinson writing and Ed Benes on interior art, this 2018 issue promises a morally thorny space-set chapter that goes well beyond straightforward heroics.
