Written by Dennis O'Neil and illustrated by Curt Swan with inks by Murphy Anderson, the issue features a striking cover by Nick Cardy.
In a story from the 1974 Superman issue, Superman encounters an alien visitor from a mysterious spacecraft, only to later learn that a young boy named Billy Anders has been mysteriously linked to an alien entity known as L'Drr. When Superman attempts to demonstrate his powers, he experiences a strange feedback that sends him hurtling through space—where he discovers a stranded alien in the void. Together, they devise a way to channel the energy back to Billy, hoping to use the connection to turn the tide against the alien threat.
