Lex Luthors genialer Plan scheint aufzugehen, als nach seiner Hochzeit mit Angela Superman die frisch getraute Braut küsst und beide plötzlich verschwinden. Lex Luthors Androiden entführen das Verbrechergenie und reaktivieren seine Erinnerungen. Lex entwickelte einen Klon von Angela und versah ihn mit einem organischen Sprengsatz, der beim Kontakt mit dem Stählernen explodieren würde. Um glaubhaft zu wirken liess er Teile seines Gedächtnisses löschen, um die Welt zu täuschen. Doch auch dieser Plan schlug fehl. Superman entkam der Mikrobombe und Lex hatte sich in seine Schöpfung verliebt.
