Superman #22
In "Cuidado com o Supercão! Um Conto de Krypto, o Supercão," Superman and Lois take their dog Krypto for a walk when Mongul and his sister launch a sudden assault. When Krypto instinctively defends Lois by nearly killing Mongul, Superman must step in to protect his loyal companion—and the peace—by taking him to the Fortress of Solitude to keep him safe from himself.
In "Rei Toma Peão," Superman ventures into the war-torn nation of Pokolistan, tracking an assassin determined to end his life. There, he encounters the enigmatic Ignition and Kancer, only to be joined by Steel, Superboy, and Supergirl as the threat escalates. When Faora suddenly attacks, Kelex arrives to aid the heroes—just as Superman faces a shocking revelation, confronting a foe whose power leaves him reeling from a single, devastating blow.
In "Homem e Super-Homem," the six Justice League members with secret identities find themselves confronted by doppelgängers who claim to be their civilian selves—ordinary people living quiet lives. When J'onn J'onzz confirms their identities are genuine, the impostors vanish, leaving the heroes to grapple with a homeless man who wields god-like powers, while their own civilian lives struggle to adapt to the sudden absence of their extraordinary abilities.
In "Elemento Surpresa," the JLA confronts a terrifying manifestation of Metamorpho as the hero struggles to protect Joey Stagg, a young boy whose desperate wish has summoned a twisted version of his father. As the heroes grapple with this crisis, they're met by The Cathexis, who reveal that a sentient energy known as ID—responsible for the rift between heroes and their private selves—is behind the strange events, including Joey’s wish come true.
In "Basta um Ladrão," the Justice League finds themselves outmatched when a mysterious force known as ID, once thought contained, reawakens with a vengeance. As Eel O'Brian uncovers the heroes' secret identities, the League must rely on the enigmatic Cathexis—only to discover their true intentions are far more dangerous than any enemy they've faced. Now, stripped of their powers and reduced to their human forms, the League must fight not just for survival, but for the very meaning of heroism.
In "Unidos Perderemos," Eel O'Brian attempts to reunite the Justice League using the ID, but his efforts only deepen the fracture—Aquaman is transformed into a true fish-man, and Wonder Woman’s soul is severed from her clay body. When the spirit of truth emerges from her essence, the fragmented Leaguers confront their incomplete nature, realizing they are only parts of a greater whole. Flash steps in with the ID to restore Aquaman and reshape the Cathexis, bringing the team back together.
