“The Mutation War”

In "The Mutation War," Superman faces his most baffling threat yet when the enigmatic Superman XIX emerges and a mysterious invasion begins. With heroes from across the cosmos—Aquaman, Green Lantern, Hawkman, and Batman—rallying to Earth’s defense, Superman’s younger sister Kara steps into her own legacy as Supergirl at the Fortress of Solitude. As the alien force known as Muto overwhelms them all, the heroes are forced into a surreal game with no clear rules. Written by Dan Jurgens and illustrated by Paul Ryan, with inks by Joe Rubinstein and vibrant colors by Glenn Whitmore and Digital Chameleon, the cover by Dan Jurgens and Joe Rubinstein captures the tension of a world on the brink.
