Die Wächter in Arkham Hospital trinken Kaffee und lachen sich kaputt. Der Joker hat sie vergiftet und versucht auszubrechen. Batman wurde von Doppelgesicht informiert, da er eine Münze warf und die heile Seite oben lag. Die Übermacht beim Ausbruch ist zu groß und Batman schluckt aus Versehen den vergifteten Kaffee. Jetzt hat er nur noch 72 Stunden Zeit ehe er sich totgelacht hat. Sein Versuch bei einem führenden Giftexperten Hilfe zu holen endet für diesen tödlich.
