Superior Spider-Man #1
"Hero or Menace?" kicks off a bold new chapter in the Spider-Verse, as Otto Octavius—now in Peter Parker’s body—grapples with the weight of the web-slinger’s legacy. With Ryan Stegman’s dynamic art capturing every tense moment, the Superior Spider-Man confronts a new Sinister Six, his cold precision clashing with the fury of a hero he doesn’t yet understand. The issue sets a sharp tone, exploring the unsettling edge between genius and morality, all while the lingering presence of Peter Parker begins to stir in ways even Octavius can’t explain—cover by Ryan Stegman.

Octavius adjusts slowly to life in Peter Parker's body, but enjoys assuming Spider-Man's identity. Facing off against a new Sinister Six, he loses his temper, offended by the idea of third-rate villains he considers so far beneath him taking on the name of the group he founded years ago. He takes them down in an especially violent manner, only stopping at the last minute before beating Boomerang to death. He doesn't understand why he stopped, not yet realizing that some portion of Peter Parker's consciousness remains in his brain.
