Supergirl #5
Supergirl dominates this striking 2019 cover — rendered by Michael Turner (pencils) and Mark Roslan (inks) — standing confidently above the clouds beneath a full moon, her blonde hair swept by the wind and her red cape billowing behind her. The cool blues of the sky perfectly offset her classic blue-and-red costume, giving the image a quiet, powerful elegance. Inside, writers Greg Rucka and Sterling Gates team with artist Pere Pérez for "Blood-Sisters: A Tale of Old Krypton," promising a story that reaches deep into Kryptonian lore.

Supergirl, Nightwing, and Flamebird are transported into an alley, where Supergirl attacks the others, thinking they tried to kill her. They deny it, and Nightwing reveals he is Chris, but they are interrupted by a crowd, the Guardian, and the Science Police, all accusing them of killing Mon-El. They flee to an apartment Supergirl has in Paris. Supergirl and Nightwing discuss how Flamebird believes she is connected to the real Flamebird. Angered by that conversation, Flamebird confronts Supergirl and punches her through the wall and into the Eiffel Tower, where they are confronted by Squad K.
