Superboy #95

A delightful 1962 "imaginary novel" premise anchors this issue of Superboy, asking what might have happened if Jor-El, Lara, and the super-baby had all escaped Krypton's destruction and landed on Earth together. Curt Swan's pencils and George Klein's inks bring the scene to life on the cover, where a costumed adult male figure carries an enormous load of logs while a woman in yellow floats overhead and a small super-powered child cheerfully smashes rocks — all while an angry crowd holds a sign demanding that this alien "super-family" leave Smallville. Writer Jerry Coleman and artist George Papp deliver a three-chapter adventure also promising appearances by Lana Lang, Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Phantom Zone villains, and even a new Clark Kent.
