A wonderfully chaotic Mad Hatter-style tea party takes center stage on this November 2001 cover, with a wide-eyed Superboy seated at a table overflowing with cakes, cookies, teapots, and bizarre treats — flanked by an eclectic cast of strange figures including a crowned queen, a tall-hatted pale figure, a blue beast, a harried-looking man, and a skeletal creature, all rendered with gleeful energy by cover artist Pascual Ferry and inker Keith Champagne. The "Malice in Wonderland!" tagline perfectly captures the surreal, slightly unhinged atmosphere on display.
