Superboy #81

From 1960 comes this delightful twist on the Boy of Steel's adventures — Superboy #81 features "The Weakling from Earth!," and the cover by Curt Swan and Stan Kaye sets the premise up brilliantly. Superboy is shown flying with hidden jets under his cape on a world where everyone else can fly naturally, while two concerned onlookers worry aloud that without super-powers, "he's doomed!" It's a wonderfully imaginative role-reversal scenario, with writer Otto Binder and artist George Papp delivering the interior story behind this charming cover scene.
