In "Horror der verlorenen Superkräfte," the Legion of Super-Heroes faces a chilling threat when the parents of Schattengirl, Winzwanda, Ultraboy, and Chamäleonboy are captured by the villain Dagon at the Legion's headquarters. With a cryptic message from Schattengirl’s mother as their only clue, the returning Legionnaires must piece together the mystery while Sternschwinge races to join them after rescuing astronauts. Written by Gerry Conway and illustrated by Jimmy Janes, with inks by Dave Hunt and colors by Gene D'Angelo, this 1980 issue features a cover by Kurt Schaffenberger and Dave Hunt.

Die Eltern von Schattengirl, Winzwanda, Ultraboy und Chamäleonboy werden ins Hauptquartier der Legion gelockt und von Dagon gefangengenommen. Schattengirls Mutter kann ihrer Tochter einen Hinweis hinterlassen. Die zurückgekehrten Legionäre analysieren die Situation. Gleichzeitig rettet Sternschwinge einige Astronauten und folgt dann dem Dringlichkeitsruf der Legion. Federleicht und Tyrok befragen die Sicherheitsabteilung und finden heraus, daß drei Ingenieure die Legion für ihre Arbeitslosigkeit verantwortlich machen. Tyrok kehrt der Legion den Rücken um zu seinem Volk zurück zu kehren.
