Superboy #26

Part two of the six-part "Losin' It!" arc finds Superboy in serious trouble — the cover by Tom Grummett and Doug Hazlewood shows the young hero tumbling helplessly over an enormous, coiling mechanical creature that looms above a cityscape wreathed in eerie green smoke. The sheer scale of that serpentine machine dwarfing Superboy gives the image a real sense of danger and momentum. Karl Kesel and Steve Mattsson helm the story with art by Staz Johnson, making this 1996 chapter a compelling reason to dive into the full arc.
