Superboy #2

The cover of this March 1994 issue says it all with that bold tagline — "She's a Knockout!" — as Superboy launches a flying kick straight at a fierce, red-haired woman in green, whose whip-like energy lash meets him mid-air in a burst of crackling impact. Tom Grummett's pencils (inked here by writer Karl Kesel) give the clash a terrific kinetic charge, with both figures filling the page in a dynamic diagonal collision. It's a sharp, energetic second chapter from the Kesel, Grummett, and Hazlewood team, promising plenty of action right from the cover.
